Albacore Shipmates
From 1993 to 2022, Albacore Shipmates was a committee of the Portsmouth Submarine & Maritime Association (PSMA). The committee was originally formed for former USS Albacore crew members exclusively, before later expanding.

The Shipmates created the audio tour system that exists at Albacore Park on the park grounds and inside the submarine. A majority of the recordings were made by former Albacore crew members. The Shipmates were also involved with the installation and maintenance of several memorials located in Albacore Park's Memorial Garden as well as other areas.

While the Shipmates committee has since disbanded, its legacy lives on with the large database of former Albacore crew members it amassed during its run. It is Albacore Park's honor to recognize the crew who served on the USS Albacore as we continue to oversee and maintain this database. If you would like to add a former Albacore crew member, or alert us to a crew member who is now on "final patrol" please reach out.
